Joel & Gaúcho - Pierrot Apaixonado

Pierrot Apaixonado is a carnival march composed by Heitor dos Prazeres and Noel Rosa in 1936 and performed by Joel & Gaucho, one of the most successful duos in Brazilian popular music, especially in the 1940s. It is one of the most popular carnival songs in Rio de Janeiro, and it refers to Pierrot’s unrequited love for Columbine, characters from the commedia dell’arte.
