According to a Vice, the FBI created a honeypot to keep criminal organizations in check for years. It was a peculiar phone called Anom. The selling point was that it was completely secure and anonymous, allowing criminals to operate without worrying about authorities keeping an eye on them.
But law enforcement organizations all over the world, specially the FBI, were listening in. They would even participate in the phone’s development.
