When Will the Kardashians Return to Television?

The Kardashians have become such a persistent presence in online discourse that it’s becoming increasingly difficult to distinguish their everyday lives from what they choose to present on television. What is the difference between personal and professional branding? What is the difference between a simple Instagram post and fodder for a subplot? Isn’t everyone just a cog in the massive PR machine that is the Kardashian family? Perhaps, but in any case, the aforementioned powerhouse appears eager to produce content, including another season of Hulu’s The Kardashians.

Spoiler alert: The first season ended with a dramatic finale in which Khloé Kardashian learns—from her sister, Kim, no less—that her on-again, off-again boyfriend, Tristan Thompson, has cheated on her yet again and fathered a child with another woman. Meanwhile, her mother, Kris, is busy recording a rendition of “Jingle Bells” with Kourtney Kardashian’s then-fiancé, Travis Barker (and now husband). But the holiday cheer only lasts long enough for Kris to receive an unsettling phone call. Psyche! A “To Be Continued…” title card in millennial pink flashes across the screen. We’re already holding our breath.

Everything we know about the show’s inevitable return is detailed below.

Will there be a second season of The Kardashians?

All indications point to yes. Hulu, according to Variety, will “launch” two seasons of the new reality series in March 2022. (Kim also posted a sneak peek of season 2 on her Instagram Stories, which effectively confirms the next season’s impending arrival.) The Kardashians’ return date has yet to be officially announced by Hulu, but it’s only a matter of time.

When will Season 2 be released?

The Kardashians moved their reality series to Hulu in part because the streaming service could provide them with a faster turnaround time. That’s good news for fans, who can expect a faster season 2—especially since the episodes are already in the works.

What will be in Season 2?

Almost certainly Travis and Kourtney’s wedding(s). The Kardashians showrunner confirmed to Distractify that cameras were present at their Vegas not-wedding, but footage from the couple’s much fancier, Dolce & Gabbana-sponsored Italian bash is also likely.

We also expect to see footage of Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott’s new baby, possibly with a name announcement, as well as the drama surrounding Kim’s Met Gala gown.

Who is going to show up?

Kim, Kris, Khloé, Kourtney, Travis, Kendall Jenner, Kylie Jenner, Scott Disick, and their many children are all expected to appear. The big unknown is Pete, Kim’s now “super serious” boyfriend, who only appears as a disembodied voice in the season 1 finale. Could he have more time for on-camera confessionals now that he’s officially leaving Saturday Night Live? Time will only tell.
