Rumors of Carrey’s death have reportedly surfaced on YouTube and Twitter. In one of the screenshots shared on Twitter, a fan appeared concerned and perplexed after learning that Jim had died.
The news outlet’s headline read, “Tragic passing of Jim Carrey. Jim Carre’s health diminishing: Source. Watch his last words to family, friends, and fans.”
While the post had some people perplexed, it was simply a clickbait that some people fell for.
What are we knowing about his health?
While the actor has not reported any physical problems, he has admitted to having mental health issues. During an interview with Jeff Foster, the actor revealed that he had battled depression.
In the same interview, Carrey stated that “Jim Carrey” never existed and was simply a character he tried to portray in the hopes that people would like him. He also admitted that he always pretended to be unconcerned because he wanted others to feel the same way.
The difference between sadness and depression is that sadness occurs as a result of an event in your life, whereas depression is your body telling you that it does not want to live in the avatar that you have created.
What was the actor’s latest film?
Jim Carrey’s most recent film was Sonic the Hedgehog 2. On April 8, 2022, it was released. In an interview with Variety, the actor hinted that he was planning to retire because he felt he had worked hard enough and accomplished a lot.
